Our newest contemporary artist is @malou.weijs. This ‘Layers of Movement’ piece in green and white shades is one of the pieces we show at OODE. Texture and use of color form the basis for this research and are influenced by the natural light and the position of the observer. The objects are made of a two-component material consisting of mineral powder and water-based acrylic resin. The material is cast in several layers of different thicknesses and sizes. This layering becomes visible through the use of the CNC milling machine. By creating a repeating 2D pattern, using different milling tools and entering different depths, a visually interesting experience is created // #art #design #movement #minimal #contemporaryart #amsterdam #kunst #artgallery #artcollector #artoftheday
